Future Forecast 2022
As Covid-19 restrictions continue, holidaymakers are turning vacations into longer stays, opting for regenerative remote working, hobby-based excursions and healthier escapes

With consumers increasingly wary of hospitality greenwashing and travel eco-rinsing, sector brands are moving to a regenerative footing where hotels and resorts are allowing third-party agents – including prospective guests themselves – to independently set and assess goals.

While this will ensure Sustainability Futures for travel brands, other holidaymakers will seek experiences centred on mind and body fitness. Opportunities abound for travel that hones guests’ hobbies or combines extreme adventures with rest, alongside hospitality that unites people around the arts.

In our new Future Forecast 2022 report and webinar, we explore five trends from the Travel & Hospitality sectors:

1. Re-gen Resorts

2. Expat Experiences

3. Sideline Studios

4. Exercise Excursions

5. Data-driven Escapes

Alongside a Viewpoint with Damon Lawrence, co-founder of Homage, and Chimene Jackson, its chief innovation officer, who are centring the Black hospitality experience on rest, healing and music.
