It’s a process of joining the dots – connecting a shift in consumer desire here with a technological leap there. My monthly column on LinkedIn, The Liminal Luxurian, has become my personal space to explore these connections within the world of luxury, as I try to decipher the deeper human needs shaping our future. For me, foresight isn’t about predicting the future, but about understanding the present so deeply that the path forward becomes clear.
One of the great joys of this work is taking these ideas on the road, sharing them from the stage and seeing how they resonate. Looking back, some of the most stimulating dialogues have happened at events where the future is actively being debated.
Tourise, Riyadh
Most recently, at the Forbes Travel Summit in Monaco I had the chance to explore the shift from simple stays to truly transformative travel, questioning what it means to offer a luxury hospitality experience today.
For Walpole’s British Luxury Summit, I dived into the mindset of the emerging luxury consumer, particularly the fascinating rise of biohacking and the pursuit of ‘wellth’ as the new ultimate status symbol.
The inaugural Tourise conference in Saudi Arabia was a vital conversation about embedding purpose into the travel sector and how brands can meet the growing demand for meaningful, regenerative journeys.
At WWD’s Catalysts event in NYC I enjoyed challenging the audience with the idea that we’re moving from an economy of ‘know-how’ to one of ‘know-what’ – where personal expertise is the new beauty currency.
BeautyMatter’s Future 50 conference explored the powerful forces reshaping beauty, from climate-adapted skincare that responds to our changing environment to the beautiful synthesis of ancient wellness wisdom and cutting-edge science.
I was in Sydney for SXSW where, during a truly mind-bending discussion on the ‘Synthocene’ era, we wrestled with how technology is augmenting our very identity and what it means to be human in a world of artificial intelligence.

What’s on my mind now
As I prepare for upcoming engagements, with likely stops at the Cannes Lions Festival and the Walpole Summit later this year, I’m focused on the themes of trust, transformation and how we navigate a world of increasing complexity. If you’re curious about where my thinking is heading, I share my latest reflections in my monthly Liminal Luxurian column on LinkedIn, and I’d be pleased to have you join the conversation there.
