Alice Bastin is a British designer, who lives in London UK. Alice’s career to date has been in luxury fashion design with roles at Chloé and Celine, as well as her most notable tenure as Head of Women's Leather RTW at Alexander McQueen. Alice’s work focuses on pushing the boundaries of materials which has led her next step to explore the possibilities of ceramics at Wedgwood. Alice was appointed as Creative Director in March 2022, focusing initially on marketing, experiences, and collaborations with a new direction for product expected to filter in from September 2023 onwards.
AOI is the brainchild of young, London-based Fashion Designer and Creative Director, Farah Marafie. Farah completed her BA in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in New York and her MA from Central Saint Martins in London. She trained at various fashion houses, from luxury brands, to streetwear labels. These experiences have fine-tuned her skills and eye-fuelled Farah’s desire to sculpt her own universe. One that would operate asymmetrically to an industry norm driven by quantity, speed and scale. The Kuwaiti Lebanese designer has set her sights on developing a collection of collectibles. AOI is a rarefied brand that encompasses sensorial wearable pieces of art. Each edition is born out of the exploration of an archetype, re-imagined in collaboration with specialist makers worldwide.
Diana Verde Nieto is a pioneer in sustainability and a leading voice in sustainable luxury and beyond. Diana is the author of ‘Reimagining Luxury’ and Co-Founder of Positive Luxury. Diana has 25 years of international business experience founding successful companies at the intersection of luxury, innovation, technology, and sustainability. Diana is a highly respected and charismatic speaker, reaching large audiences with inspiring and practical knowledge and have participated in industry events such World Economic Forum and The FT Business of Luxury Summit. Diana holds a degree in Global Leadership & Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, has been trained by Former USA Vice President, Al Gore at the Alliance of Climate Protection and was subsequently honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader. She is an advisor to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
Marta joined The Future Laboratory’s trends intelligence platform LS:N Global as a foresight analyst in 2022. Her background is in fashion and luxury strategy, and she has also worked in trend forecasting, with a focus on changes in consumer attitudes and technology.Marta is the company’s lead researcher on the fashion sector, which involves examining how fashion affects society and vice versa, and unpacking the implications and opportunities for LS:N Global members.
Chris is co-founder of The Future Laboratory where he is responsible for delivering the company’s extensive global roster of conferences, media events and LS:N Global Trend Briefings, which he co-presents with the team globally. Chris presented Channel 4 TV’s five-part series Home of the Future and is a SuperBoard member of The British Fashion Council’s Fashion Trust.
