The team here at The Lab are excited to introduce you to our new The Future Laboratory Community network, a place to think, share ideas, to collaborate, learn and network with fellow community members, as well as our in-house team of analysts.

Currently, all conversations are about communities and how we define them – as places to think, to be, to share ideas and to tackle the many challenges a post-Covid landscape will throw at us.

But, as our new The Future Laboratory Community network launch reveals, communities are also about sharing knowledge, building relationships and discussing those very challenges we’ve identified and with the help of fellow community members, turning them into viable and sustainable solutions.

As The Future Laboratory’s co-founder, Chris Sanderson puts it: ‘We’ve defined The Future Laboratory by its sense of community over the years – from the convivial nature of its briefings, forums and events, to the design of its Elder Street headquarters. As our many clients know, The Future Laboratory has always been about great networking opportunities in equally convivial gardens, roof terraces, and even beside bee apiaries. But now, as The Future Laboratory moves to its new biophilic headquarters at 6 Orsman Road – by award winning architects, Waugh Thistleton – we’re upping the ante in terms of how we’d like to define our sense of community in a 2022, inter-Covid context.’

Later, in 2022, we’ll be resuming our briefings, forums and global networking events in the flesh – coming to you soon in Australia, Antwerp, Amsterdam, London and Sao Paolo. But we’re also taking them online so you can enjoy the benefits of our live and virtual engagements by becoming members of The Future Laboratory Community.

Access to the community allows you to tune in live to all of our 2022 online events – Retail Futures, Beauty & Wellness Futures, Luxury & Hospitality Futures and Food & Drink Futures – as well as taking part in our quarterly Lunch & Learn sessions. These take a more forensic look at those future market and sector activities we need to better understand and negotiate, with a focus solely on tomorrow.

But you and your team can also join Q&A sessions with our strategists and applied foresight analysts so that you can discuss any challenges you’re facing, or challenge us with those difficult client, sector, or futures questions you are trying to answer and future-proof.

And why not? Your competitors only have to be right about the future once to get the edge on a market, while you have to be right about it all the time. But we live, breathe and co-create tomorrow with FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients globally, so the chances are we’ve already touched on the solution.

Our community platform also allows you to unlock more of our content, news stories, podcasts, and sector webinars.

‘Vitally’, says Chris Sanderson, ‘it allows you to create your own profile, so you can speak to, and collaborate with, fellow community members, as well as our in-house team of analysts, so that we can become even more proactive in building the future together as individuals, brands and communities.’

If you are an existing The Future Laboratory client, or LS:N Global member, you are eligible for free access. Please get in touch to find out more.

If you are not a client, or member of LS:N Global, you can find out more about joining The Future Laboratory Community here.

‘We’re upping the ante in terms of how we’d like to define our sense of community in a 2022, inter-Covid context.’
